I arrived at the embassy at around 10.15am for a 10.30am appointment. I made my way to the south pavillion where someone checks your passport and your DS 260. I then went through airport like screening, this was very fast, then you make your way to the main building, everything is clearly signed. Someone at reception looks at your DS 260 again and sticks a note on it with your interview number.
You then go up to the 1st floor turn left and left again to a small waiting area and wait for your number to be called. I was waiting for about 15 minutes before I was called. At the first window they asked for my passport, marriage certificate, birth certificate, police certificate and a photo (they did not ask me for any photocopies) they then take your fingerprints and ask you to take a seat until you are called up again.
Second time you are called up is the actual interview, this was very short and basic. They asked me when and how I met my husband, when we got married, where he is now and what he does. She then let me know that my medical has not arrived so she cannot give me an approval on the day but I will be approved once my medical has arrived. Since then my case status has gone from 'refused' to 'administrative processing' so I'm assuming they have recieved my medical.
It was a pleasant experience, everyone was very friendly and the interview was more like a conversation not an interrogation. Good luck to anyone going in for their interview!
