My Experience:
I was dropping off my stuff ( phone etc ) at a kiosk at the corner from the Embassy.
I had to walk to a window where they gave me a number, as i been told i walked back and was able to go through security right away.
Do as they say, they will get a little angry at you for sudden moves 😅
When i was done i was walking outside and followed the green line to the back building.
It was a huge hall.
I went to the Woman by the desk and she gave me a letter with my first instructions.
I went to window 22 and had to drop off my passport, my passport picture and my printed delivery option confirmation page.
then i was seated again and waited for my number to be called.
As i was called, i walked up and the lady at the window gave me some new instructions and how my interview will take part.
i gave her all my civil documents and was seated again.

almost the last person being left, my number was called again and my final interview was held.
I had to take an oath and swear that all the information i'll give the consular officer are true.
after that she asked me 5 questions.
1. Did i get the Brochure from the First Window about violence and if i understand it ?
2. What do you wanna do/ work when you get there?
3. When did you get married?
4. when did you meet?
5. i forgot but it also was a very simple question with just a few words.

She said that she has everything she needs and asked me if i had any questions as well.

i asked how about the insurance, i'm only be able to get insurance with my SSN:
and she said:
they are not allowed to ask about this anymore because of the just recently filed lawsuit.
but she said the ssn and greencard might take a while to arrive in the US because of corona.
But i might be able to get insurance with my stamp/ passport greencard.

and after i got what i wanted i got told that she is able to grant it within 1-2 days and i will get my passport back in about a week.

The ladies i talked to were really nice and comforting.
I was able to speak german all the time even at the time of interview.
