Interview was at 7am. We arrived a little before 6, there were already a few people in line. Guards place you in line according to your appointment time. Doors opened at 6:20. They asked for passports, and appointment letter. They asked for this constantly so we just had it in hand at all times. They only let in those with 6:30 appointments first, if you went up with a later appointment they did not let you in. Once we got through security, we went in to another building to receive a number and wait in line to turn in our documents. While in line they asked different people for different things, some applicants got asked for a lot some for only a couple things. Make sure you bring everything just in case. We got asked for his passport, marriage and birth certificate. They confirmed our contact information and address and was asked to go to the waiting room and wait between windows 19-30 for our Interview. Once we sat down It was just about 7. We got number 28 but numbers aren’t called in order. This was the most frustrating part because numbers 1-195 were called before we got called. Our number was finally called around 9:45.
The CO didn’t greet us just went straight to it, he asked for the interviews letter and number. He asked us How and Where we met. What did I do for work, and what we disliked about our spouse. Another CO approached the window and he excused himself and began speaking with her for 5 mins about personal stuff. He then turned grabbed a white paper threw it at us And I guess he said your visa is approved and walked away.
My husband and I were confused but once we read the paper we understood it was approved. We walked out of there extremely happy! We only wish we got someone nicer.
