My husband is a Lithuanian citizen, living in Norway, and was interviewed in Sweden for his visa (as they handle all of Scandinavia). So we were definitely worried about making sure that we had all the correct documents and translations into English, but in the end all was accepted without issue.
His interview was scheduled for 8am and he got there maybe 15 minutes before that time, went through security, and had his documents looked over by the first lady. Then he was seated and waited for his interview. When he was called up the officer was actually training someone else, and the trainee was more nervous than my husband!
They asked a few simple questions such as how we met, how we communicate, and what his family thought of his move. In less than five minutes, she handed back all the paperwork and photos my husband had brought (minus the passport) and told him he was approved. All in all, he was in and out in less than two hours. We're awaiting delivery of his passport to Norway, and she said that while the standard answer is "two weeks," it usually takes much less time to show up. Hurrah!
