I had my interview at January 5th 2020 in Cairo , my appointment was 7:30 am, i arrived at the gate at 6:30 am, they opened at 7:00 am, the guards checked my appointment paper (aramex) then I entered.. Walked a little inside the neighborhood then another gate.. Same paper check +passport photo then walked till a reached the embassy wall, two lines one left and one right, then security check organizers from the embassy.. Saying immigration go left.. Nonimmigrant go right so the two lines against each other around the gate.. The said nothing can be taken inside the embassy except your phone.. Leave everything at the gate.. Even your headset, usb, Bluetooth, power bank any wired gadgets and lighters +matches .. There's a person talking them for money until you finish your interview..
Then someone will sign on your appointment paper then Turn off your phone and enter the embassy..
Inspection take off your jacket shoes built watch anything metal then enter another door.. Take everything except your phone.. Wake in then go left then stairs go down walk then two doors go right push enter.. Then desk lady.. Gave me a 2 ticket number 614.. It was 8..I sat down and waited like a bank hall.. 16 windows.. Random numbers were being called so be alert..
At 9am they called my number at window 14.. An Egyptian lady speaking Arabic made my fingerprints (4 fingers right hand +left hand then thumbs) she asked for my original birth certificate then +new photo +single certificate +original police certificate) then gave me the copies that I sent long before by aramex.. Then I waited again back in my seat..
At 12 pm they called my number at window 16.. She was a very nice lady she asked a few questions :
The Consular : Would you like to speak in Arabic or English?
Me : English please
