My interview was on 9th January 2019! I was accompanied by my wife but they refused to let her in despite the fact that she's a US citizen! The new policies allow only applicants to enter the embassy due to security reasons!
The guy taking fingerprints and documents were really nice! The on important tip I red from visa journey was to present maximum documents as an evidence which I did! I presented my daughters CRBA too which made things easy for me!
So I was called to the counter for interview around 8:40 AM! He was a nice guy with glasses but quite serious!
He asked me a few questions:
1. when were you married?
2. do you have kids?
3. whats the name of your daughter?
4. do you have photographs? (I had a album with all the events marked for his ease)
5. what does your daughter love the most in the world? (Laughed like crazy when I told him about Baby shark and told me he has to listen the same song too)
6. so when did your wife go to USA?
7. when did she receive her citizenship?
8. what does your wife do for living? (I told him currently she's housewife due to my daughter)
9. and what do you do for living?
And then he complimented my jacket and pocket square telling me he loved the combination!
And then the final magical words, "Ok you are good to go everything looks great you will receive your visa in 2 weeks"!
I thanked him and left the embassy forgot to ask the status! the status remained as admin processing till 10January 12PM which scared the hell out me thinking may be I am stuck in admin processing! But may be that wasn't the case and status changed to Issued on 10 January! and then finally on 13th January I received my passport with the visa!
Alhamdullilah the journey came to an end! I would like to thank visa journey for all the guidance And wish everyone Good Luck in there journey
