Had our interview today for the adjustment of status for the K1 Visa. Overall, it was pretty painless. We got there half an hour early but waited for quite a bit to be brought back to the office. We were asked general questions like age, name of parents and all of the other information on the I-485 just to verify that it was correct. She asked us how we met, took a look at the pictures we brought and asked us what evidence we brought for our marriage. We had medical insurance cards, dental insurance cards, proof that my husband was added as a beneficiary and dependent at work, car insurance and joint bank statements. The woman was very friendly and told us that they understand that as a new couple you won't have that many documents and that everything we brought was sufficient. She said that she had to do one more check but that she would be approving our case and that we should expect the green card in the mail in a couple of weeks. Overall it was a great experience, much easier than we expected.
