Comments :TESTIMONY: I am a Christian so I have to give glory to God for making everything possible!!! Wow!! My fiance and I have come so far and had to go through a lot for this process, just like all of you. So happy to be approved thank God! We were sweating bullets because we had some minor discrepancies but everything worked out.
INTERVIEW DETAILS: My fiance arrived around 5:30-6am ish. He was unsure of if it was the embassy or not since he never been there before. He described it as "an open field" he found a man that was walking around and followed the man until he reached a security guard and the formation of a line. His appointment time was a 7:30am. By 6:30 the security guard divided the line into "Non-immigrant Visas here!" and "Immigrant Visas here". From there each "type" of visa went to a different place where they further divided people by "visa class". My fiance went to where they called out for K-1 visas. Then the guard checked for people to show their appointment confirmation page. If they did not have this page handy their was a list that had all the appointments by name and people would still be permitted to enter inside the building if their name was on this list. My fiance and others also had to show their medical Checkup before even going inside the building. Once past security checkpoint and inside the building people were being called in order of appointment time. I don't know what time they called my fiance. He was called by a Caucasian consulate officer (CO) whom he describes as being very genuine and kind. The CO first brought him the original pictures of our conversation that I sent with the 129F form when we first filed 3/18/19 and then proceeded with the following questions:
1) How did you meet your Fiance?
2) Where was the first place you met her?
3) What does she do for a living?
4) Where does she work?
5) Is she (me, the petitioner) a U.S. Citizen?
6) I need to see the copy of her tax returns.
7) I need to see evidence of the relationship. (My fiance showed him our pictures) Then he asked "who is that?" When he saw a picture of my grandmother in one of the photos of us. The CO was curious about that photo but my fiance said he looked "touched and interested" by it.
The man left the room and then came back and proceeded to ask more questions...
8) Are you aware that with a K1 visa you will need to get married within 90 days?
9) Why did you choose to marry someone in the United States?
10) Who initiated contact at the very beginning of the relationship? I need to see evidence of that.
The man then handed my fiance a paper with an address for pickup location of his passport, and told him to come back in "two weeks".
I hope this helps!Â
P.s. there was another interviewer for K1 who isn't Caucasian (not sure what nationality he is... I never bothered to ask my fiance) but my fiance said the other interviewer didnt seem nice while this one was very kind to him. He said that the interview felt more like a regular conversation rather than like being drilled with questions.Â
His advice was to "be yourself" and he told me that he "felt so free". Goodluck yall. As for me I'm celebrating!!! ðŸ¾ðŸ¾ðŸ¾ðŸŽ‰ðŸŽŠðŸŽŠðŸŽŠðŸŽŠðŸŽŠ Glory be to God in the highest!
I will be going to Nigeria in 26 days to visit him and by God's grace we pray we can leave back to USA together â¤ðŸ™ŒðŸ¿
