It is nearly impossible to get into contact with anyone at this consulate unless you have an interview. If you try to call they will likely hang up on you, if you email they will not respond.
Re went to the consulate to pick up his Packet 3 before they sent out a notice, as we were told that would take too long. They let him in with a copy of the letter that had his case number.
The first interview we had to leave to fix his passport b/c his first and middle names were switched on his passport (they are sticklers for details). His interview was rescheduled for a week later.
At his interview they asked him:
1. How did you meet your fiancee?
2. How did you start the relationship?
3. Why do you want to marry her?
4. When were you engaged?
5. How old is your fiancee?
6. Where does she work?
7. What is her job title?
8. What year did she arrive in Ghana?
9. When did she leave?
10. How many times has she visited since she left?
11. Did you register in the court? (he wears a ring that I sent him, so I think she was checking to see if we were already married)
He had to provide them with original letters inside the original envelopes, but he was given them back after the interview. He said the woman who interviewed him was very nice. She gave him a paper to return with more financial information from me on any M,T, or Th. He had already given this to her, but I'm guessing she just wanted an updated copy.
A week later he returned with the paperwork, and they gave him a blue card. Three days after that he had his visa in hand.
Our case went fairly well, however the Accra Consulate is known for being difficult.
