Review Topic: K1 Visa

Amy went to London to have her interview. She was interviewed by two different officers.

She showed them information such as my birth certificate, her police record, etc. She was asked questions like why she was moving to the US instead of me (the USC) moving to her, how long we'd known each other, how many times we've met, etc.

They only looked over my I-134, and did not keep my co-sponsor's information. They did not look at tax records, evidence of the ongoing relationship, photographs, or anything really.

She was told she was approved "barring anything coming back on the fingerprint scan" (IE: she comes back as a criminal, but we know she's not) and that she'll get her Visa in 3-5 business days, along with her passport back. This was on Thursday, April 10, 2008. She should have those items in a couple of days we imagine.

Even though I wasn't there, I think I'd rate this experience a 5. She had an interview at 9 am, and by 12 am BST she had called me to tell me she was approved. She knew sooner than that, but had to get back to her hotel or such I think. She didn't complain at all to me about it, she didn't say there were any problems.

After the long wait from NOA1 to NOA2, and the Embassy screw ups with Packet 3, this was the most painless part of the process yet! Quick, easy, and of course the desired result.
