My sweet had his interview in Casablanca..thank God I did some research here into other people's experiences, especially with this tough consulate. He was perfectly prepared and spoke fine english. He waited 4 hours to be seen and being the last one, surely his interview was a product of people wanting to leave for the day and just be finished with him...they gave him 15 minutes, tops! they were harsh...it was a woman who did most of the interviewing and she tried to speak to him in arabic but he would only respond in english..they asked few basic questions..they asked for a form he was "supposed" to have but they never sent it in his package, so they gave it to him fill out..funny to me why the consulate originally sent his papers in FRENCH instead of Arabic or English (considering it is an AMERICAN consulate).
He certainly felt rushed...they didnt even bother to look at ANY proof of our relationship, including pix...not even one! They just took our emails, all documents copied and original, gave him the bloody 221(g)sentence and told him they would call....omggggggggggggggg
they gave no reason for why he got it...we have been married for over one year, I have traveled there 4 times, we had our marriage certificate, we have a sponsor and an immigration lawyer...so where does this leave us? thank god I had some idea this could happen, even our lawyer said they always ask for more info, but from what i see, from the others from the Middle East, I see people getting their visas all the time, and quick, why not us???
so now what???????? an indefinite black hole again
when I heard this news I immediately emailed the consulate and called.
Their email response has been, "further processing and being completed back in USA"....I have my Congressman involved, since this is the only thing I feel I can do, other than sit..our lawyer has also emailed Casa too, that response is pending...I-130 was already filed before this I-129...we thought that things would be better to try this temporary visa, just to get him here, some good it did us..but we are still hoping and praying...INSHALLAH
