I couldn’t attend the interview, but I got a few details from my fiancée. First, she said the people outside, security, and document collection were very rude. She said that they weren't too bad to her, but to other people they were shouting, using impolite words, had an attitude and showed no respect to anyone. She also said the document collection seemed to be the worst, and one point yelling and an older gentleman because he wasn’t getting his documents fast enough. This is why we are giving the consulate such a low score. She said even though she's Vietnamese, she felt bad about how they were treating people. For this part of the process, she would give it 0 stars.
Once inside the interview area, she said it was totally different and she gave that part 5 stars. They were nice, friendly and were a pleasure to deal with. She said they did fingerprints and the interview in the same window. Because I front loaded the original packet, with a lot of additional pictures and documentation, I think that made the interview itself painless for her. As for what she brought in, she brought in many pictures, additional documentation, timeline, etc. They asked for none of it. She was asked the following 3 questions.
1. Where did you meet?
2. What does he do for work?
3. Has he come to visit you?
After that, the interviewer stepped away and the translator said congratulation you should get your passport and visa in about 2 weeks.
