My appointment was at 9:45. The email said you could present yourself at the security check 15 minutes before so I went at 9:30. There was no queue so I was let in right away. Had to leave my phone as stated. First I had to pay the visa fraud and prevention fee as I was on a blanket application. I tried to pay with my wife's american card but they won't let you if it's not in your name so had to pay with my french card. Next I was sent to the visa line. Probably waited about 20 minutes. Went to a window where the officer took my paperwork. He looked for certain documents (I-797, I-129,...) and put them in a certain order. He was speaking french to me but I couldn't hear him very well. He said something about a letter being only in one copy when there should have been three because I had three copies of the I-129 but I did not understand what he meant. It stressed me as I thought I was going to have to come back but at the same time I was sure that I had all the required documents and even more. Eventually, he handed the documents back to me and told me to go in the next line for the interview. There was actually no one waiting. The second officer talked to me in english. She took the paperwork the first guy had put together. She only asked me a few questions: what do you do? where are you going to work in the US? what willbe your job in the US? any family member going with you? I did not have to go into details to explain my work here and over there and justify why the company needed to transfer me. She did not even look at the supporting letters from my company. My wife and kids are US citizens so no visa needed for them. We actually filed the I-130 petition for a CR1 visa in February before I had the opportunity to transfer. I don't know if thay played in my favor, she did not mention it although I declared it in the online application form. In less than 5 minutes she approved my visa and I was out at 10:10 !
