Frankfurt, Germany | Review on May 21, 2019: | Kürbis&Tannenbaum

As my interview for K1 in Frankfurt was yesterday, I want to give a review of what happened:
I was at the consulate at 8.55 and I left at ~1.05 p.m. I received a ticket at the counter, after a consular officer outside the building asked me what the purpose of my visit was. Then, I was waiting for like 20 minutes outside the building in front of a door. I was supposed to go in when I hear a metallic clicking noise, and I could see the line inside the building through a window in the door.
After I entered the building there was the security check, which was really fast for me. I didn't even have to take of my shoes or something (just the belt) and they quickly checked my luggage. The lady smiled about my organized folder and handed it back to me. Then, I was told to leave this building and walk along some path to another building. This other building was totally different from what I expected; it was super big, bright and friendly. There even was a kiosk that you could buy snacks at in case you'd get hungry. javascript:emoticon('') In this building there was a lady who handed me a sheet of paper that explained how the interview will be conducted.
I then stood in a line at a counter and was asked to confirm my mailing address. Then, I waited in the seated area with about 30 other people. After ~ 1 hour I was summoned as well to a counter. The officer asked me if I have children and if I have been married before and some documents. I was told to sit and wait again for the actual interview. I waited probably for 2 hours or so. Then finally my number was called. The officer asked if I wanted to conduct the interview in German or in English and I chose English. Before he was asking questions, I had to take an oath and swear (with right hand up) and he took my finger prints of both hands. These were the questions:
- How did you meet?
- When exactly did you meet online?
- Have you been married before?
- Has he been married before?
- Do you have kids?
- Does he have kids?
- Who proposed to whom?
- When exactly did he propose to you?
- Do your parents not want you to have a big celebration in Germany with family and friends?
- When did you meet in person for the first time?
- When did you last see each other?
- Before you met: Was there already a love relationship established? (I said yes; and then he said "Aha, the wonder of modern communication systems" or something like this :D )
- Where did you first meet him?
- Where will you get married?
- When do you want to get married?
- Where will you live?
I don't know how long it took overall, but I'd say 10-15 minutes. I was surprised that I was not asked by anyone to hand out my DS-160 confirmation page (granted, I sent it via mail along with the other documents), but neither was I asked about the appointment confirmation page or passport photos.
Overall, everyone was very nice to me and I had a good experience at the consulate.
