Appoint for 8AM. Got there 6:20AM. First thing we saw upon arriving were the aggressive street hawkers. These hawkers were stopping cars and grabbing people to get them to sit down and buy their drinks. We bought a water bottle so they can leave us alone so we can relax and get focus for the interview.

At 7am, people were walking across the street to lineup. Some were crossing earlier but turned away. Just sit and watch and you should know when it’s time.

We were lined up outside. I’d say about 250 people altogether. Greeters were walking up and down the line to give out instructions. I can see why they have to be rude sometimes. They were repeating instructions and people fail to follow them.

Eventually we were let in at around 745am. Inside were more lines, waiting, instructions.

We were let in the next phase of the process. This is the security part where each person has to go through metal detector and bags were scanned. Cell phones were held at point.

The following part, beneficiaries were read more instructions, waited to give fingerprints. A number was also given to each beneficiary. Our number was called and we approached a counter for them to collect documents. I think they just took the original birth certificate, marriage certificate, police report, passport, household registration booklet, and address registration.

We were sent back to our seat to wait for the interview. About an hour later were were called. We were asked to raise our right hands and swear to tell the truth(like in court). I was surprised they did not ask me to return to my seat. The interview relayed the questions to the interpreter who asked my wife the following questions:
1. How did you two meet?
2. How many times did he cone back to visit? Which trip was the marriage?
3. When did the dating became serious?
4. Were you married previously?
5. Do you have kids together?
They asked me the following questions:
1. What do you do for work?
2. Do you live alone?

We were relieved when we received the approval.
