I stood in the queue outside from around 7:30am. We were let in at 8am, and I was #15.
When I was eventually called up to submit my documents, I was asked for my birth certificate original and copy, my original and copy of divorce doc as well as a copy of my fiance's (so glad I had this!!!!), I134 and other financial proof (NB they want tax transcripts!!!!!), as well as all proof of relationship - only paperclips allowed, no plastic sleeves etc.
I was then sent back to my seat to wait for the interview.
I said an oath,
She handed me the legal sheet explaining rights in the us re domestic violence etc and then chatted about it briefly.
I then was asked:
when did you meet and where/how?
when did you see him last?
Tell me about your first visit.
How much does your fiance make per year?
Questions on how I validate my short relationship pre engagement.
Questions about kids following to join.
What are your wedding plans? - what date are you marrying and where?
Then she said well, all looks good, we will cancel your tourist visa and put in the K1, and post it to you, but that may be delayed as you first need to email us your fiance's tax transcripts ASAP. and then that was it!
