After 1.5 years of AOS submission, I finally had my interview! I arrived at 12:30 but waited an hour before I was interviewed by an officer. My husband came with me but only I was called into the interview. This was odd because every review I’ve read required your significant other to attend so I asked the lady officer at the end of my interview and she said sometimes there’s no need for the petitioner to be interviewed but it’s nice to have them be there.
Questions she asked were to confirm the information on the application form, asked me who I live with, what I do for a living, how he proposed. Mostly the basics, though one question threw me off, she asked about my first visit to the usa, the second, the third, etc etc. Since I used to live in Canada, travelling to the USA was easy so I listed out like 10 visits to the USA previously. Good thing I printed my i-94.
Forms I gave her are my husband’s new Affidavit of Support, along with employment letter and paystubs because he had a new job, pictures of us and his family, supporting docs of bona fide marriage and my employment letter. I didn’t do a new medical as I rather get a RFE than to waste $500+ to redo a medical that they may not check. Luckily, she didn’t ask about this. At the end of the interview, she advise it’ll take no more than 120 days to hear back on decision. I checked my case two days later on myuscis account and my card is being produced!!
