Fortunately I was able to attend my husbands interview with him. We arrived 2 hours earlier, but were not able to enter the embassy until the actual time of the interview. Once our time came up, we first went to the window where we met the officer who emailed me 3 days prior to the interview to make sure I had everything ready. While reviewing our paperwork, the officer conducting our interview requested my 2016 tax transcript, but we were still able to do the interview and submit that tax form in afterwards.

Half an hour later, we were finally called back to the window for our interview. A man who was obviously from the US did our interview. He first asked my husband when was the first time we met and started talking. Of course my husband was a nervous wreck (so was I), so he gave him the date of when we first saw each other at church instead of the first date we actually "met". The officer looked down at our application in front of him and looked suspicious. He continued to ask what type of work my husband would like to work in if he came to the US, my husband answered construction, and was then asked why. My husband answered saying he has done construction on the side back home in Samoa with his dad so he grew interest in the job. Since I was standing right next to my husband, the interviewer turned to me and asked what type of work I do. We continued to make conversation of how cold Alaska is and if my husband was ready for it.

At the end, we didn't receive an answer if my husbands visa was approved or not, instead we were handed a form saying we were denied (admin. processing) until we submit the proper/requested documents. As soon as I submitted that tax form, it took about a week until we received an approval.
