Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had our interview based on VWP AOS. We had seen each other on several occasions in various countries and it was clear that we were a couple before i came here on vaction.

Arrived at the building 2 minutes late, not a problem, just sat down and waited. 20 minutes later we were called in by the nicest lady with beautiful long hair. She swore us in and we sat down. She mentioned within the first minute that she was leaning towards approving our case.
We had only a little evidence of a shared residence (1 utility bill, joint tax return, joint credit card from the UK), but that wasn't a problem as she acknowleged that newlyweds might not have much evidence yet. We went through my details (applicant) and I signed the changes she made on the form while she asked my wife about how we met and in particular, "when did the attraction first begin". my wife was unsure, so she asked me. we debated the date in a very married way and i think that was enough for her to decide we were married for love!! She approved us in 10 minutes, took away my EAD card and said that my permanent residence card would be with me within 1 month, and that it was important to collect EVERYTHING that official and in shared names (all utility bills, open a joint bank account, join a gym together) in a box for when we have to lift conditions on the residency in 2 years. Citizenship a year after that.

All in all, very easy and relaxed. Just like talking to someone about our relationship. It seemed like the most important thing for her was approving genuine married couples and not eyeing the VWP AOS suspiciously.
