I was originally scheduled for September 25th but was able to reschedule for September 4th.
I arrived the consulate as early as 5:30am for my 7am interview. Security checks began exactly 6am and by 7:30am I was already in the main consulate building.
Passport, documents including affidavit of support and finger prints collected. Waiting number was assigned (during pre-screening outside the main consulate building).
At 9am my number was called and a Korean-American male CO interviewed me.
CO;
What is the name of your fiancée?
What is your name (my name)?
How did you meet?
How did she travel to the US?
What year did she travel?
What are her parents job(s)?
What does she do for a living?
Where does she work?
What do you two like doing together?
What books have you two read together?
You wanted to attend a conference in DC last year?
Were you going to meet your fiancée?
Let me see your photos together!
I will go ahead and authorise your visa.
In between these questions we had system (computer) issues and CO kept apologising as he couldn't capture my finger prints.
My case was transferred to another CO who was able to capture my finger prints and gave me the collection form.
My visa processing took 8 working days to process.
I am thankful to visa journey for this wonderful platform.
