The Hartford CT location was nice; easy to find the main entrance and everything was on the main floor with parking just behind the building. Check-in and the interview were calm and casual. I was expecting to have to hand in our ID's but all reception asked for was the appointment letter and our updated evidence. After that we waited for about 15 minutes with a few other couples for our names to be called.
Once called, we were led to a cozy office down the hall. We had a young officer who was a previous marine, and he was stern but friendly. After swearing us in and taking my photo and fingerprints, he asked for our passports, US licences, SSN cards, and my EAD/AP card. After confirming everything matched up he started in on the questions. Most of them consisted of confirming our story and all the names and dates in my AoS packet (he checked them off as we went). Despite my husband coming along, he never said a word other than to agree with me lol.
From there he went through all of the "have you ever committed terrorism, child pornography, prostitution, smuggled drugs" etc, which I had to curtail a giggle at a few of them. After that he went into a few questions on how often Ive been to the US and when, which was somewhat tough. I previously lived near a border city in Canada and have probably been in the US 2-3 times a year since I was little, so I roughly estimated 50 but said it could be higher. He did ask for my previous passports with visas which I did not have, so that's the only other thing I'd recommend to bring. I didn't think all the B2 entries were of importance to them so I only brought my current one, which he thankfully let slide. I also handed over my Nexus card (Canadian global entry) and he happily looked up that info which seemed to satisfy some of the entries. And lastly after confirming my medical was still valid, he explained when to expect my greencard! It was a total of about 45 minutes.
He even said since we went the I-129F/K-1 route that I wouldn't need a conditional greencard and would be receiving the 10 year one...which is a plus!
Overall a great and smooth experience.
