Had my appointment at 2 PM, arrived at 1:40 PM and got through security (no bag or electronics).
Around 2 PM, I was called to the first window. Since there's apparently a new CEAC system, I was told I was their test subject as I was the first to go through it at this embassy. So it took a while for them to check that all the documents were there, and they weren't sure whether they needed the originals or not. They did take them as well as the medical results.
Fingerprints were also taken there. All of this took about 30 minutes.
Then I waited a bit more and was called to a second window for the interview. The officer told me once again about the new system and me being their guinea pig :D
Then came the oath where I swore that everything in our file was the truth and I was asked a few questions:
- Who's in the US?
- How did you meet?
- When did you get married?
- What does he do?
- Does he have kids?
- Have you ever lived together?
Didn't ask to see any paperwork or pictures. After that, the officer made me sign a paper saying I knew we had to apply for ROC in two years and gave me a copy.
The officer then checked the affidavit of support and tax returns. He then was confused about what documents to keep with the new system and asked a colleague who told him to give me back everything but the medical.
The officer thanked me for being their test subject with the new system and lastly he said that'd I should get my passport in a week and wished me good luck in the US!
