Review Topic: K1 Visa

Just finished interview, and I'll have to say that it was the easiest part of this whole process. As others have stated make sure you have all paperwork from the checklist. DS-160 confirmation page , passports, birth certificates, police report, pictures, divorce decrees if applicable, affidavit of support etc... I am the petitioner, and was there with my fiance. First you will submit you paperwork at the window when your number is called. You will then take a seat and wait to be called to the window again. This is when you are asked a few questions. The first question will be what language you wish to speak. My fiance chose English. The questions were; How did we meet? Internet. Which site was that? How many times I, the petitioner, has been to see her? He asked me one question and it was; am I the fiance? I have been living in Ukraine with my fiance for almost 9 months and that answer seemed to seal the deal. He said "everything looks good you will receive your visa in a few days". He handed us back all the paperwork, and a white piece of paper stating Your Petition has been approved!! Everyone that we seen go up before us with the K1 and CR-1 petitions were being approved. Sad to say that a lot of tears were coming from the other visa sections. It was a very good experience. Oh, and our appointment was for 8:00 and we were walking out at 8:40. Good luck to everyone and don't stress about this part. If you have a true relationship, then you will certainly know all the answers.
