My experience at the US Embassy in Stockholm was a pleasure! My appointment was scheduled for 8.30am. I got there early and was the first in line for immigrant visas, around 7.20 am. Maybe a bit early, but that was fine. Make sure you're in the right line if you're applying for a K1 visa, you're NOT going in the glass Box where everyone else is waiting.
At 8.00am the Security guards called me up and I went through security. Just follow their instructions and you're good, they're very friendly and helpful. I then followed the yellow line up to the actual building, and was greeted by another security guard who told me where to go next. A Swedish speaking lady came to the window and she collected my documents. She then told me to wait until I was called. That part is not your interview, she just collects your documents!
My name was called and an American lady greeted me by another window. She was such a sweetheart, and I just knew that I would get this visa. She was super friendly and nice, and asked me about 4 questions before congratulating me on getting my visa!
My advice is to make sure you have your documents in order, they truly appreciate you being well prepared!
