Cant believe it was 4 years ago!! And im still doing uscis stuff. But anyways, the Paris embassy experience was great. Very well organized. We arrived a little before noon and they asked us to wait outside till the time of our appointment at 12:30. After a little strolling we got back and were guided to the embassy that is a very cold and monolithic building with the sad bunker arrangement standard in american embassies those days. My soon to be wife came with me to the "interview" and was asked to stay a few steps behind and to remain in complete silence. The office was very practical and efficient. She asked a couple of questions about our relationship (my then fiance said that she was very nervous cause i was missing some of our encounters in the past 2 years), said that was pleased to see our file and after no much more than 5 min approved my application. I was a little bit concerned cause i was just a resident in portugal by then and my residence was being renewed so i didnt had my residence card just a letter but nothing was asked about it. The officer explained that i was going to receive a letter and let me pick up an address to send it (we were in an airbnb for a month in paris). Best wishes for anybody applying and courage! The process after the k1 is just starting!!!
