We arrived at 9:15 for my husbands 10:15am. We parked next door to the embassy for 30L per hour. They directed us to the back of the line on the right side. We entered at about 10:15. . Went to first window where we gave all the documents required. The only evidence they asked for was about 15 pictures. (They did not ask for copies and eventually returned all originals to us) We waited about 15 minutes and were called in for the interview. The interviewer did the interview in Spanish when speaking with my husband.
Questions:
When did you meet?
Why do you want to go to the states?
Any problems with the police?
Have you ever entered the US?
The interviewer then asked me:
Have you been married before?
Does my mother know I have her tax documents? ( she is co-sponsor)
Do I speak Spanish? How did I learn Spanish?
What are our plans in the states?
He then said in Spanish. The visa is........ and then got up to get something. Talk about suspense. He came back and started talking to my husband about domestic violence and the such then said. The visa is APPROVED. In Spanish. Felicidades!
Everyone was friendly and helpful.
We got to the hotel and called the call center to make sure everything was ready. They said within 10 calendar days we will get the visa. They said they changed the process and now only send the passport with visa. No extra package.
Hope this helps. Your turn is coming. God bless.
Update: Day after interview ceac said Administrative Processing.
2 days later said Issued!!!
