I flew from the USA to attend the interview with my finance. The most difficult part was getting into the building. It was cold and snowing that day. Our appointment was at 8:00 AM. We arrived and were in line at 7:30 AM. They did not start letting people into the embassy until about 7:40 AM. For some reason K1 Visa people had to wait while others were given permission to enter before us. Not sure why. That was the hardest part having to stand in line outside in the cold and snow. We finally got into the building around 8:10 AM. All of the Embassy employees were very friendly. Security was pretty straight forward. Once inside we did not wait long to be called to the first part of the interview. The interviewer gathered all of the documents from my finance. The only document she took from me as my I-134 which I brought with me from the USA. They did not ask for bank statements, employment verification letter, W2's or Tax Returns. I was told that for a finance visa these documents are no longer required, now only required for a Spousal Visa. The first interview took about 10 minutes. After all documents were gathered we were told to sit back down and wait to be called to the second part of the interview. We only waited about 5 minutes before being called to a different window. Again, the lady conducting the interview was very kind and courteous. She asked my finance and I a few questions very simple questions and that was it. It really was very easy. If your documents are in order there is nothing to stress over. I am not sure me being there was any advantage. The interviewers conducted the interview in Russian or Ukrainian so it is very simple for the ladies.
