I was interviewed at counter # 12 by a nice young lady. She was very professional and pleasant. The only documents that was requested by CO was I-134 (affidavit of support), US tax papers and corresponding w2’s. However, CO did look through our picture album from beginning of the page to the very last page. She had me explain to her who all was in the pictures and the activities surrounding the pictures. I had several proofs of our on-going courtship on me such as emails, phone logs, cards, snail mails, yahoo and windows live chat logs but CO did not ask to see any of them. I guess she was satisfied with what she had already seen and my answers to her questions. My short interview time can only be attributed to God’s favor. With God all things are possible. BTW, just because I was not asked to provide further proof of our courtship, this should not stop others from gathering all the necessary documentations to validate their on-going relationship. Interview will vary on a case by case basis, beneficiary’s presentation matters – look the CO in the face and talk with confidence. Ability and command of the language is very helpful. The following questions were asked:
1.) How did you meet?
2.) When was the last time you saw each other? Must know specific dates.
3.) What did you do while your SO visited you? I provided pictures to support our outings.
4.) Did you meet with your SO siblings?
5.) What does your SO do for a living?
6.) What is the name of your SO employer?
7.) How long has SO being working there?
8.) Does SO enjoy doing the type of work?
9.) How many kids does your SO have? If any, must know their names.
10.) What are my SO hobbies?
11.) What is the number of age difference between us? Age difference is less than 15 yrs.
12.) How many kids am I planning on having?
13.) Have we agreed on number of kids?
Advice: Listen and comply with the instructions of the security personnel especially when you’re instructed to open your medical results otherwise, you will be sent back to the end of the queue for not following their instructions. Also, I noticed others being sent back for lack of sufficient fund for visa fee. The fee was increased from $100 to $131.
