I attended the interview with my fiance at the time. The consular officers ignored the fact that he was at the embassy and asked him to sit down and wait. There was one older lady that had a very sarcastic look and everything she said felt like a knife. I presented her with all the documents and the one picture I had and she looked at me and asked with a very critical tone of voice " you only have ONE picture together?" Well I have a bunch but I knew I had to take pictures that were taken from the moment of us filing the petition until the interview. I should have just printed what I had.
Anyways, they gave me the g 221 or whatever that temporary refusal is called because they didn't like the way i listed entry/exit stamps to prove my 2 years home residency requirement. That happened after they had me wait for 3 hours.
After I came the second day, they decided that I needed to stay home for another 6 days...They decided that is what I didn't have in order to satisfy the 2-years rule and they gave me a second temporary refusal. That happened after about 4 more hours of waiting.
When I came back on the 15th for my third interview, they had me waiting for about 4 more hours. They finally decided to give me my visa. Let me take that back. The older lady i already mentioned kinda threw it at me. I was almost the last one to get a visa.
That consulate was among the worst experiences of my life.
