Interview was scheduled for 7:45AM on 3/21/2018. Got to the consulate at 7AM and there were already 20 people ahead of us in line. At around 7:30AM, they started to let people in. After the appointment confirmation page and passport were checked, a card was given and my fiancee was directed through security and on to the third floor. She surrendered the card as she stepped off the elevator then lined up to present the appointment letter and passport where she was then given an interview number. She was then called up to a window to submit her medical results (envelope opened when requested), notarized documents, I-134, my tax returns, pay stubs, W-2 forms, and employment verification. After that, it was a short wait for the interview. The interviewing officer was very polite, took her fingerprints and asked many questions. She breezed through them all and was told "Congratulations, your visa is approved! Thank you!"
All in all, it was a pleasant experience and easier than expected. She was done and met me at the Starbucks up the street before 9AM. Everyone was very polite, even the Chinese man collecting the supporting documents.
A huge thank you to this forum for helping us navigate through this long and sometimes confusing journey. Good luck to all!
