My wife passed her interview recently. The whole visa process - from submitting the first packet to the interview - took about 15 months. Here are the questions they asked us:
Are we currently married?
Where do each of us currently live?
Which country was the wedding in?
Which country was our son born in?
Had we already registered our son with the US embassy?
Where did we meet?
Had I been back to visit my wife in between the time we met and the wedding?
Where would we live when she moves to the US?
There were actually two reps in the room but only one of them was asking us questions. I think he was in training and the other man was his supervisor. They were friendly and the one doing the talking was joking with us too. Overall it was a good experience.
Most of the questions were directed at my wife but they did engage me a couple times. Smile big, be happy, give good eye contact, listen well, and be confident; and you'll do fine! Good luck!
