We got a 221g with time to submit 3 missing documents.
We are older and had a few more decades to account for so our visa journey was longer than most couples.
Her experience was definitely positive as she felt encouraged to continue. The entire process is tough. Full of peaks and valleys emotion-wise. We have been involved for 3-4 years so our proof of relationship was solid.
Interview certainly could have gone far worse so we feel good about it.
Our main problem is PRC's reliance on Hukow/Family Register to control people's movement. It seems this is a common issue for citizens of PRC not residing in China and is not really an insurmountable problem if people really want it and your case is strong in other areas.
I thank everyone who helped us along the way here on VJ and urge everyone to vote this November.
