Our appointment was at 9:30am. The appointment document said not to arrive more than 30 minutes earlier, so we arrived at 9am.
However, there was a long security line for entering the building, so we ended up entering the building a little over 9:30am.
We rushed to 8th floor to the appointment room.
Fortunately, they did not say anything about being late, but told us our interview will be in another room.
At this point, I was thinking 'Are they sending us to for intense interview?'
We walked to the other room, and it looked similar to the original location. There was waiting area and people were waiting to be called.
The interviewing officer called my wife's name after 5-10 minutes.
We walked to his office, and swore us in.
He asked us how we met, why we decided to marry each other, and what we do for a living.
He asked us for passports and marriage certificate.
And that was it!!
He printed something and told us he is approving the green card!
The printed sheet explained that the green card is approved, and we need to remove the conditional status after two years.
I was surprised how fast and easy it went. The interview was only like 10 minutes.
By 10am, we were out of the building.
I know it could be different depending on the case, but wanted to share my experience.
Anyways, arrive early to get through the security line before the appointment time.
Do not panic if you are sent to another location.
Good luck everyone! and I hope everyone gets such a chill interview!
