We arrived 45 minutes early, went through security (remove shoes, belt, coats, put all belongings in a tray, walk through the metal detector, then reclaimed items), and checked in. Confusingly, there is a sign that says you cannot check in more than 15 minutes early, despite the notice saying 30 minutes, and us being permitted to check in 45 minutes ahead of time. They gave us a receipt with a letter and a number (just like the DMV). We were told to go to the second floor - there are two sides of the second floor with seating, the side closer to the bathrooms and the american flag is for naturalization/citizenship ceremony, while the other is for those waiting for interviews. There is NO signage anywhere that makes note of this, so we ended up sitting on the wrong side until we noticed that nobody sitting near us had a receipt with a letter/number. There's also no screens/monitors that tell you what number has been called - the workers just come and call out, which can be a bit hard to hear over the screaming kids and general noise.

We began to get worried as 2 hours later, our number hadn't been called, it was past closing time - workers downstairs were locking the doors and everything, and it was only us left. A lady came out and concerningly asked us if we'd been helped, so we showed her the appointment notice. She paused for a bit, and then assured us that "he is reviewing your case and will be with you shortly". So...we were surprised when a half hour later (so 2.5 hours late at this point), it was a young lady that called us in. I think we had just been forgotten about.

As far as the interview itself, it was very casual, the interviewer joked around with us about all the the "have you done anything illegal" questions they are required to ask are on the AOS form, and made lighthearted conversation. Other questions were:

* How we met/when we started dating?
* When did you get married/who was at the wedding?
* Where we each worked
* Have you met each other's parents/family?
* Asked where the impending immigrant's relatives lived and if any lived in the US

After that, it was obvious the interviewer wanted to go home. She commented that my paperwork looked very organized (I had tabs to separate/label everything that was listed to bring on the interview notice) and she really appreciated that, so if we wanted we could just give her the paperwork, she would review it later, and we could go home since we had been waiting for so long. This made us a bit nervous, as she didn't say this meant we'd been approved, but we were basically ushered out the door after handing over the updated I-864 (new job since initial filing) and relationship proof. I would say we had maybe been in there only 10-15 minutes or so.

Overall, while the people working here seemed very nice, this office was quite disorganized.
