San Bernadino CA | Review on January 10, 2018: | JVCC_2013

On Monday 01/8/18 my husband had his citizenship test/interview in San Bernardino, CA. We arrived approximately 1 hour early so we went to get coffee at a nearby coffee shop and went over the civics questions one more time. When it was 30 minutes before his appointment, we entered the building. We went to airport type security (had us remove shoes, belts and went thru x-ray). The security agents were polite. They directed us to the elevators for the second floor.
On the second floor there is a hospital like lobby (lots of bench chairs) and a sign in reception desk area. The agent at the sign in desk took our appointment letter, time stamped it and asked him to have a seat and wait for his name to be called. The area was clean, semi-quiet with lots of nervous people waiting. I used the restroom which was also well kept. There were at least 20-25 officers (some friendly- laid back looking others more business like)coming out of 4 separate doors, going to the reception desk, pulling appointment letters from "cubby" sorters and calling out peoples names. They would then take the person/persons back for their interviews. the average a person was back there was between 15-30 minutes. We waited approx 30-45 minutes and then my husband was called back. Only he was allowed in the interview.
He later said that his interview agent was polite and to the point. He did not make small talk nor smile much but was respectful. After answering a few questions from his application, he was administered the civics, writing and written test and was then approved on the spot. the whole interview was about 15-20 minutes. He was given his oath ceremony letter at the interview- ceremony is next week 1/18/18.
i hope this review is of help, best wishes to all!
