All in all everything went really smoothly. The whole thing took about two hours and my wife had to wait in the car. The woman that I spoke with for the interview was very friendly. She asked a lot of general questions about our relationship (where does my wife live, how long have we been together, what do we both do for work) and about where we're planning to live in the US. We really front loaded our application with a lot of documentation about our relationship and my wife still has a car, bank account, insurance and voters registration which we included as proof of domicile along with a letter from her explaining her move to Israel and a statement from her mom that we're going to live there for a while after we move so we had a pretty solid case.
If you bring your phone or any electronics that aren't allowed, the consulate has a small storage area next to security where you can keep them. I definitely recommend bringing a book or newspaper because 90% of the time you're just sitting and waiting. I think I only spoke with actual people for 15-20 minutes while I was there.
