Embassy appointment 8:30am.
After biometrics we sat down and waited for number again. We were called to window #12. There was a nice lady who asked us a few questions about our relationship (mostly me) she was a little confused with the correction I made in the I130 after it was sent it but I pointed out the additional information mailed in after the Noa1.
We were asked to sit down. We were then called into interview room 17. There were 3 officers in there. They asked me to sit down as they interrogated my husband for 45 min. They asked him several questions about our relationship accusing his divorce papers as being fakes and asked my husband repeatedly that he was “ok†with marrying a women that had children out of wedlock before her marriage to her last husband… then then called me in and asked him to sit down.
The first thing they said to me was that I was under oath and asked if there was anything I wanted to clarify. I told them I have given them everything….if there was something else to please enlighten me because I have no idea what else to say. The female in front of me said their first concern is the fact that my husband allowed me to come to Quetta that it was a danger to my life the embassy members would not even travel there without security…she said my husband didn’t deny this proving he did not care about my safety. Second thing they asked was if he is paying me money. I said no he sent me money to go towards the hotel in Dubai but that was it…her response “why would he do that†like this is so absurd…he’s my husband!! Then they moved on to my husbands divorce. They said they believe he is still married to her. I said no we supplied all valid documents that were required by the embassy..their response was that they were fake. They then went on to tell me that you know he had over 100 people at his wedding to her..he wanted the entire village to know but at yours only 30. I responded we were a second marriage I arrived two days late because of snow and it wasn’t well prepared (but I didn’t think to mention the fact my family wasn’t there…that would have doubled that number). I did mention the days following we went to several families and had lunch/dinner and I even went to his job. Their response was all these people did that because they would benefit from me. The Pakistani interviewer also told me my the ex wife would have moved far away and my husband would be dead if he was really divorced. I told them I know my husband loves me he knows me more than I know myself…their response of course..its been his job to know you he made it his life…No matter what I said in my husbands defense the white man in the back kept shaking his head at me with his arms folded. I could have said anything and they would just shrug it off I eventually shut down. They ended the interview with someone would get in contact with me. They were going to recommend it to be returned back to the USCIS but the Adjuster had the final say. The wind was completely knocked out of me! They also asked me to never return to Quetta! My husband is in Quetta if he can’t come to the US what other choice do I have? Our case is now in Administrative processing but we have not received anything from the embassy. No slip, they kept all documents and we are completely confused and in the dark!
