We had our application expedited at NVC for a medical issue, and because the applicant's job was ending soon, causing financial difficulty for us. The expedite was never mentioned at the interview.
1. Security check
2. Check in with person at the front, show the appt time confirmation email
3. They give you a folder to put your documents in a certain order
4. You will be called almost immediately, you give your papers at the window and then sit and wait
5. After about 2 hours, they call again and fingerprints are taken
6. Wait another 30 minutes
7. Interview
Interview is really easy. Only the applicant can be at the window.
Questions:
When did you meet your husband?
Where did you meet him?
Were you studying in X at the time?
Does he still live in X?
How many siblings does he have?
How many times has he visited you in Japan?
That's it! "you're all set, your Visa is approved and you will get it in about 1 week."
