My interview went very smooth. First officer wanted my passport and 5 originals. They had all the other papers. I saw most of the NVC package on his desk. I had two big books with me... They were not opened!
Then he wanted my 2 passport pictures. Fingerprints were taken. Okay, sit down until my colleague calls you. 5 minutes she called me.
The second interview took like 10 minutes. Again fingerprints. The oath. Then some questions. Where I lived at the time? About when we met first and how? Where we met in person and how did it go? How many times my partner was in The Netherlands? The dates of her last visit. Does your partner have any other income except for SS? - Of course that was in her affidavit of support also. - Then she wanted to see any recent pictures. I gave her 27 pictures in a pile with a list of months and places. She ran through those... Then she said, I know enough. We are ready. You will get your package sent next week. At POE I would get the originals back.
I wish everybody an interview like this. So happy we passed this hoop!
The five originals I had to give: BC, MC, Death decree of my first partner. Good Conduct and Military Record.
