Had our interview today. Arrived at 10:00 for a 10:30 appointment and was called in at 10:35. IO came out and called petitioner's name and took us back to her office. We were put under oath, and then she asked both of us our full names and birthdays. She took my husband's fingerprints and picture (he's the petitioner) . Then she asked me what my husband's full name is and his birthday. Then she asked my husband for my birthday and full name. She went through the i485 with my husband (all the yes/no about being a terrorist, belonging to a terrorist group, etc.) She then asked us our story, how we met, what trips we've been on together, what we did for our first date, where we live now and how long we've lived there. It was a very casual conversation, and we were never separated the entire time. She then asked if we had any otter evidence we wanted to show so we handed over a stack of pictures that she went through while still talking to us about our trips and if I like soccer (my husband came to America on a soccer scholarship, that's how we met in an American University). When we were done, she then said she had everything she needed to approve us and he should twice be his green card in 2-3 weeks. She never asked to see updated tax info (we showed them anyway since we filed jointly last year), employment verification letters, or updated medical (since our AOS interview took 16 months to get, I was worried we'd need an updated medical since I've seen that some people are asked for it). All in all it took 25 minutes and was extremely pleasant. I was sweating bullets on the way in, but there's really nothing to be afraid of if you're truly in a relationship. So happy this part of our journey is behind us and we can breathe (and travel without worry) for the next two years!
