Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Appointment was 13:30 got there at 13:00. Lady came by took rocal. 15 minutes later I went inside. I was given a number, and took a seat. 40 minutes later I was called to do biometrics. The lady took my originals and I asked her if she wanted my file of proof o relationship. She said if they need it they will ask for it. I was told to go sit. An hour later I get called to the counter. Before I was called 2 other people's visas got declined. They argued with the lady and when I got there she was annoyed. When I approached she said to give her a minute as she was typing away on her keyboard. She then says we will start with taking an oath. I say that's fine and I wait... and wait ... and wait ... eventually she looks up and someone starts talking to her. She rolls her eyes and responds then says to me they are having system problems. I say it's fine and wait ... she looks up and asks me to raise my right hand. Then I take the oath. She returns my original documents. Asks: - how did you meet, where does your husband live, when did you get married... I gave the answers, then she hands me a pamphlet. I ask if she needs the photos and she says if they need anything they would be in touch the next 3 weeks. I ask if the visa is approved and she says they will let me know. Overall two thumbs down. I've been over prepared for months. Made folders put everything together and was so hoping I'd walk out with good news. I haven't seen my husband in 6 months because we wanted to do things the legal way. He had to start work and I didn't want to risk entering the country and being turned away at port on my visitors visa. Heart broken and frustrated I now play the waiting game ... again ...
