My astonishingly gorgeous fiance arrived at the embassy at 6:40am for a 7:00am appointment. I made sure she stayed in a hotel that is about 6 minutes from the consulate, that way she could take her time. I advise you stay in a hotel close-by to reduce stress on the applicant and eliminate the chances of getting caught up in the Lagos traffic. She waited outside until 7:04am, at which time they were ushered in and went through a series of checkpoints.
At the first Checkpoint, she was asked to open the medical report. She was then directed to the next checkpoint where they confirmed her identity and the GTBank payment receipt. The third inspection was a security checkpoint where they were stripped of their belts, watches, jewelry, etc. Now she arrived at the central waiting area where she had to present some documents and get a fingerprint scan. The interview kicked off after everyone had gone through the checkpoints.
The interview started at 9:00am, and my sweet baby was the last to be interviewed. She was number 22 out of 24, but surprisingly, they called 23 and 24 before calling her's. At 10:15am she was called upon and began her interview.
During her interview she was asked the following questions:
How are you?
What's your name?
What's your Home address?
Where are you traveling to?
Who filed for you?
What's his name?
What's his date of birth?
What's your date of birth?
Where did u guys meet?
When was that?
How did you guys establish your relationship?
Has he visited you again after then
Do you have pictures of the both of you together?
Where and when did he propose?
Is he married?
When did he get divorced?
When and why did they get separated?
Any wedding plans?
Any ceremony here in Nigeria?
She was approved and given a paper with instruction for collecting her passport, and some other informational pamphlets.
I tried to write this review as detailed as possible, hoping it will be helpful to the next person.
S/O to Dee & Segun(segunmatt), T & Ola(firstlady2411), Georgia & Frank(OvieDare), Tee & Uzo(neciahbg), Larry & Ola(LarryOla) and everyone else who tool their time to submit a review.
PS: Because I get a lot of messages asking how I got through the process so quickly, I'd like to put this out there. I got my petition expedited, then paid the fee, went for the medical, collected the police character certificate and booked my appointment as soon as it got approved. You don't have to wait. Just schedule your appointment approximately 1 month out from your date of approval (NOA2). You have one attempt to reschedule your appointment. I can be used either to bring the date closer(it's not uncommon to get closer dates. People switch out all the time) or farther depending on how ready you are.
Thank you and good luck to you all.
