My interview went really well, except an issue with the police clearance not being valid (totally not my fault, the consulate had changed the rules AFTER i checked in with them about the validity).
On the day of my interview, I waited about 10 mins for my case worker to call me up. She was very friendly and said she would try everything to get me there in time for Christmas. I sat down after she had been through everything in my file and waited for the officer to interview me.
It was another 30 mins before the officer called me over the intercom. She was also very friendly and put me at ease very quickly. After being sworn in, she asked me some VERY basic questions - how did we meet? what happened next? how long did he stay over here for? where did we get married? what did he do for a living? where were we going to live in the USA? She then asked if i had any photographs with me. I showed her my wedding album and some pics of when my husband was here in November. She asked who the people in the pics were and laughed at a couple of them. And that was the end of the interview. Very quick and easy!!!
Unfortunately she couldn't issue the visa for me until i had obtained another police clearance certificate. She said that if i got it to her by the 14th, she could get me to the USA by christmas. Miraculously i managed to get one by the 14th of December (within 4 days) and dropped it off at the consulate the same day.
My case worker went out of her way to ensure it would get to me on time (as my flight is booked for early next week).
Overall i was very impressed with the Consulate. They were friendly, efficient and very caring, which was a surprise!! i give them 5 out of 5!
