The embassy is in the nice part of Naples. It's ran by Italian guards who don't speak English which was an issue for me because they wouldn't let me in the embassy. I'm an American citizen and they let my wife in for her interview and he told me to wait outside. The people behind me were next and he let them both inside and when I asked him why he can and not me he said one goes in and two goes in then one and so forth. I was pissed. Then he tried to tell me I couldn't be by the waiting line outside the gate. He said I had to leave across the street away from the embassy. This was all in Italian and after he left another lady for the interview translated it for me and I still didn't leave. After ten minutes the people at the entrance rang and asked the guard to ask me if I was an American citizen. I showed him my passport and they let me in. They need bilingual guards if they want to work for the embassy.
