Interview was relatively informal, they asked very basic, cursory questions about our relationship. My husband was asked how we met, how long we had been together, etc. I also assembled a very robust packet for the consular officer to review that had every single document I submitted with the I-864, along with originals of both of our birth certificates and my husband's police report. However, keep in mind that my husband is a Swedish citizen and is therefore probably far less scrutinized than he would be had he come from a war-torn nation or a country with other issues that would create security concerns.
The consulate is firm about its no electronics rule; my husband was allowed to take a cell phone into the building, but he had to check it in before he had his interview. A woman who had an appointment before him took her laptop and was told to leave the embassy to drop it off at her home/hotel and return for her appointment. I think she may have missed her appointment.
