it all went very well, pretty quick. i was scheduled at 1pm. and i believe that 15 minutes later, i was on the 1st window, to give all my papers. 5 minutes after i was called again at the 2nd window, i was asked regular questions: "where we had met", "what was he doing", "how old we were". pretty brief. the lady was very nice, with humour. unfortunately for me, i was missing 2 papers, but she explained to me that it was no big deal, i didnt need to come back to paris, just send them as soon as i'd have them (otherwise i would have had my visa right away!!!). she answered my questions. she told me to go back to my seat. finally another 5 minutes later, i was called again at a 3rd window, she gave me some paper to send along with my missing papers, and that i'll get my visa when they received those papers. congratulations, smiles. very nice. i was out of the consulate at 2 pm!! but without my visa due to my missing papers (which were 1: a spanish police record, for i had lived more than 1 year in spain; and 2: a letter from my US fiance's employer stating his yearly salary, for the sponsor).
