I went to the interview with my Fiance and we were in an out in less than an hour. It must have been a slow day for k1 visas.
The questions he was asked were:
When did you meet?
Where was your first date?
What do you like about your fiance?
When was the proposal?
What is your favorite memory together?
The representative was very friendly and the interview was done almost entirely in Japanese much to my fiance's relife.
After he was approved, they let me come up to the window to say hi and ask some questions. No one even blinked when they saw that we were a same-sex couple, which is a huge plus in itself. Overall, we had a very painless experience.
