I personally find Lagos to be one of the most difficult embassies in the world for marriage visa sas well as religious discrimination. They dish out K-1 visas all day long because they know the parties involved have 90 days to change their mines. K-3 people are not so fortunate. My personal experience from talking to one of the consulars is that they may be just as corrupt as the Nigerians they claim they are trying to legally keep out. This embassy gets more complaints according to one State Dept rep than most of the 225 the world over. They never answer the phones & they never answer their emails which go to lagoscons2@state.gov. I really find it an atrocity that this country can see what your personal finances are. The consulars I saw when I was there were all white. the Nigerians I have spoken to here in the US say the place has undergone a change for the worst, it is now corrupt from the top down. So if you got your marriage visa without too much of a problem you are truely one of the lucky ones or maybe yo got a consular who hasn't become tainted yet. i personally think mine was sold to the highest bidder 10 months ago!
