We had our interview on the 25th of April at 2.15 pm at the JFK building in Boston. Since it was raining we drove there and parked at the Government Center Garage ($20/day early bird price online). We passed through the security check and checked-in for our interview at 2 pm at the counter. Since it was an immigration court there were so many people (maybe around 50) for various immigration cases. We had to wait for an hour since they were lagging and around 3.15 pm an officer called our name and took both me and my husband to the office. We were sworn in saying that we will tell only the truth. The officer Maria was very friendly and checked both our passports, birth certificates and our marriage certificate. She asked my husband how long we are known to each other, how we met, where we got married, our wedding date and my birthdate. She asked me when was the last time I entered the US, my husband’s birthdate, where my mother-in-law lives and if I have met her. She also asked me all the yes or no questions from I-485. She asked for copies of our lease, joint bank statement and health insurance details. Finally, she said that she’s approving our case and asked if I had any questions for her. At that moment, I was still processing if I heard was “approving your case†so I answered I have no questions. She then explained that the GC is for 2 years and at 90 day mark we need to apply for removal of conditions. She wished us good luck and we thanked her and left the office around 3.45 pm. By the time we reached home around 4.45 pm we received an email from USCIS saying that our case is approved and a new card is being ordered/produced. Overall it was a pleasant experience even though I was a bit nervous
