3/6 We drove to El Paso to save about $1000 in flights, 3 of us traveling. Had a relativebhelp drive and take our vehicle to border town of McAllen, TX. for us to pick up and drive back home after process.
3/7 Took EP Shuttle to Cuidad Juarez in afternoon to Hotel Maria Bonita. Paid total of $258 for 5 days. The complimentary breakfast was the best part, actually hot, cooked dishes. Felt the springs on the old matresses, but did rest and felt very comfortable. Free shuttles to and from, just make arrangements for them. Very nice and professional service. If saying the Mexican President stayed there before we got there helps, well this is the one.
3/8 Had set appointment for medical exam online previously at Servicios Medicos de la Frontera. If you can take care of vaccines at Health Department here in States, it is cheaper. Just don't forget to have them signed and sealed, that's what they did to his. We even got them free at Health Dept. since he is not insured, this is Indiana though. Complimentary shuttle from hotel to appointment and back, we left at 6:30a, his appointment was at 7a. They can't take tips since they have arrangements I suppose with hotel. Only the interviewee is allowed into medical exam but there is a waiting area next to building. Nice complimentary coffe, hot chocolate drinks, television provided. Took about 1 1/2 for him to come out. He only had physical and Influenza, Polio was not available in either Health Dept. or medical exam. Total paid was $285.20 USD, we had Mexican currency exchanged before trip, it was cheaper to pay with pesos. He was told to come back at 3:30p for results with reciept. He had a white band placed on his hand, he didn't take off until after pick up. We went to mall 3 min. walking distance from hotel, very decent stores, we ate, shopped and walked around. Shuttle came back for us all for pick up. He got a black envelope with CD and vaccination document. DO NOT OPEN BLACK ENVELOPE! Removed CD as we were told by taxi driver from hotel that this is not allowed into interview building.
3/9 Fingerprint interview was set up by lawyer, also DHL for Visa. Appointment was at 7:20a.at ASC. He took taxi from hotel from and to, hotel has own taxis, very friendly. He paid only afternoon taxi of $40 pesos as morning was complimentary before 7a. Be prepared to have Visa picture taken here with fingerprints also. Took about 10-15 min, he took longer waiting and going to and from. He got back in time for the awesome breakfast at hotel, ends at 9am.
3/10 Interview was at 9:15a, he left hotel at 8:30a as drive from hotel to everything is about 5 mins. NO CELL PHONE, OTHER RINGS BESIDES MARRIAGE ONE, BELTS OR UNECESSARY ITEMS! First agent asked basics, name, dob, address, etc. He was told to sit at black chairs, depends on what type of case you have for chair color. He says there is 100's of agent windows all around and you can hear interviews going on and results.
He was asked:
address
my name, dob and where I was born
my daughter's name, dob and where she was born
my parents names
how he entered US and when
where I work
if I had joined him for Interview
address again...APPROVED!
He was given green tracking intructions for Visa.
3/11 We flew back to his home town of Leon, GTO. and waited there.
3/14 got email and finally Waybill tracking # on site.
3/15 He picked up package with Visa
3/23 We flew to Reynosa from Leon. Provided package to immigration agents at Port of Entry. He got his Passport/Visa stamped and crossed the border legally!

Thanks to Jehovah this process is over after 4 years. Thank you to this site that helped me get prepared and have everything organized and for the GREAT outcome of this journey. Those long sleepless, tired and stressfull nights were all worth it. Have faith, believe and don't forget to pray for the good and the bad. His time is perfect!
